Start Packing in The Kitchen, then do knickknacks
Start by packing kitchen items that you don’t use every day, the good china, crystal and specialty cooking gadgets. Then move from room to room packing the knickknacks and breakables. These items are usually the most difficult to pack and if you do them first you are more likely to take your time and do a good job.
Try stacking styrofoam plates in between each plate.
Wrap crystal in paper towels and place in styrofoam cups
Make sure all breakables fit snugly in their boxes, add filler if necessary. Happy Packing!
