DIY Chandelier Ornaments

These are a simple ornament to make and will add a touch of glam to your Christmas Tree.  Making them is pretty straight forward, first pick the pattern you want to make and print it onto card stock.  Cut out the design to make a template and trace the template onto a piece of foam board.  Use an exact-o knife to cut out each of the two pieces.  Mix 1 part mod podge, 1 part water, and 1 part acrylic paint in the color desired.  Paint the front, back and all sides of each piece.  While the paint/ glue mixture is still wet, sprinkle with glitter.  (TIP- To dry, rest the pieces on tacks inserted into a scrap piece of poster board, it a great trick!)  Once dry, assemble the two pieces.  Using a tooth pick, poke a hole through the chandelier sides and bottom, using wire or fishing line attach crystals if desired.  Poke one more hole at the top of the ornament and loop another piece of wire or fishing line to hang the ornament.  At the bottom of this post you will find patterns that you can down load.
